The Glucose Tube, containing a combination of sodium fluoride and anticoagulants, is designed to provide highly stable plasma for blood glucose testing. Sodium fluoride acts as an inhibitor of glucose degradation, effectively slowing down glucose metabolism and preserving sample integrity. Optional anticoagulant additives, such as EDTA K2 combined with sodium fluoride, prevent blood clotting and minimize hemolysis. This specially formulated tube allows blood glucose samples to be stored at low temperatures for extended periods without compromising accuracy.
